D. To an employee retired on account of disability as set forth in Section 2.62.090, a <br />monthly benefit equal to sixty (60) percent of the base monthly salary then in effect. <br /> The payment shall be made monthly during the retiree's life and continued disability; but if the <br />retiree's disability shall cease as set forth in Section 2.62.180, prior to the death of such retiree, and prior <br />to the time the retiree shall attain the age of fifty-five (55) years, then such payment shall cease upon the <br />termination of such disability; <br /> To an employee retired on account of disability as set forth in Section 2.62.100, the <br /> <br />greater of: <br /> 1. <br />effect, or <br /> 2. <br /> <br />A monthly benefit equal to twenty-five (25) percent of the base monthly salary then in <br /> <br /> A monthly benefit determined by the ratio of the employee's years of service at the date <br />of disability to the years of service the employee would have had by working to age fifty-five (55), as <br />applied to the benefit the employee would have had by working to age fifty-five (55), but using the <br />employee's current base salary, plus <br /> 3. A monthly benefit of ten percent of the monthly base salary then in effect for each child <br />of such employee while such child is unmarried, dependent and under the age of eighteen (18) years; <br />provided the total monthly payment shall not exceed fifty-five (55) percent of the monthly base salary, <br /> 4. In the event of death from causes set forth in Section 2.62.100, the surviving spouse and <br />minor children shall be entitled to benefits equal to seventy-five (75) percent of the benefits herein <br />provided for the surviving spouse and minor children of employees who sustained injuries or death while <br />in the discharge of their duties; <br /> F. To an employee retired after January 1, 1993, on account of age, length of service and <br />length of time in this ]Sund, as set forth in Section 2.62.080(E), a monthly benefit according to the <br />following: <br /> <br />Years of Years of Percentage of <br />Service Membership in Fund Base Monthly Salary <br /> <br />25 25 65 <br />26 26 66 <br />27 27 67 <br />28 28 68 <br />29 29 69 <br />30 or more 30 or more 70 <br /> <br /> G. Funeral Benefits. <br /> 1. There shall be paid upon the death of any active employee a funeral benefit in the sum <br />equal to one month's base salary then in effect; <br />2. There shall be paid upon the death of an employee retired under Sections 2.62.080(A), <br />(B), (C) or (E) a funeral benefit in the sum equal to one month's base salary in effect at the time of death: <br /> 3. There shall be paid upon the death of an employee retired under Section 2.62.090 or <br />2.62. I00 a funeral benefit in the sum equal to one month's base salary in effect at the date the employee <br />became disabled; <br /> H. There shall be paid upon the death of any employee retired under Section 2.62.080(A) or <br />(E) or Section 2.62.090 or upon service-connected death as provided in Section 2.62.090, the following: <br /> 1. To the cmployee's surviving spouse, provided such employee shall have been married to <br />said surviving spouse prior to the employee's injury under Section 2.62.090 for three years or more prior <br /> <br />-2- <br /> <br /> <br />
