AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND SURRENDERING TWO PORTIONS OF THE RIGHT-OF-WAY OF HARRISON AVENUE BETWEEN HAWTHORNE PLACE AND WAYNE AVENUE IN BELLMONT PLACE SUBDIVISION AND HAWTHORNE TERRACE SUBDIVISION, BUT RESERVING ANY PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENTS, AND DIRECTING THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE RECORDED IN THE OFFICE OF THE RECORDER OF DEEDS OF ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MISSOURI. WHEREAS, Harrison Avenue is a public street in Bellmont Place Subdivision and Hawthorne Terrace Subdivision in University City, in St. Louis County, Missouri; and WHEREAS, due notice of a public hearing, to be held by the City Council in the City Council Chambers at City Hall on December 18, 2000 at 7:30 p.m., to hear any comments conceming the proposed vacation of two portions of said right-of-way, was duly published in the St. Louis Countjan, a newspaper of general circulation within said City, on ,Dt, et_4~d6,. 1 2000 and WHEREAS, said public hearing was held at the time and place specified in said notice, and all comments concerning the vacation of two portions of street fight-of-way were duly heard and considered by the City Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Two portions of the right-of-way of a public street known as Hamsion Avenue, in University City, in St. Louis County, Missouri, and all of the City of University City's right, title and interest therein is hereby vacated, surrendered and quitclaimed, reserving, however, all public utility easements, if any; said property is more specifically described as follows: PARCEL A Parcel A is irregularly shaped and is approximately 40' x 150', and is located in the right-of- way of Harrision Ave. (90 feet wide). Parcel A is within the Plat of Dedication of parts of Lots 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, & 8 of Bellemont Place, a subdivision recorded in Book 38, Page 55 in the records of the St. Louis County Recorder of Deeds. Parcel A is more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the northeast comer of Lot 5 of Block B of the Resubdivision of Blocks "A" & "B" of Hawthorne Terrace, as recorded in Book 35 Page 76 of the records of the St. Louis County Recorder of Deeds, then proceed northwardly along the west fight-of-way line of Harrison Ave., (90 feet wide) to the point of beginning. Then proceed northwardly 128.95 feet along the west right-of-way line of Harrison Ave. (90 feet wide) to a point, then proceed northwestwardly 31.42 feet counterclockwise along an arc having a 20 foot radius to a point located on the south right-of-way line of Wayne Ave. (80 feet wide), then proceed eastwardly
