BILL NO. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. ¢501'( <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10.40 OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY <br />MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO STOPPING, STANDING AND PARKING <br />GENERALLY, BY REPEALING SECTION 10.40.210 THEREOF, RELATING TO <br />PARKING TRUCKS AND COMMERCIAL VEHICLES, AND ENACTING .IN <br />LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 10.40.210 <br />PARKING TRUCKS AND COMMERCIAL VEHICLES <br />PROHIBITED-EXCEPTIONS;" THEREBY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS <br />TO PERMIT THE PARKING OF TRUCKS UP TO 6,000 LBS. GROSS VEHICLE <br />WEIGHT ON RESIDENTIAL STREETS AND ALLEYS UNDER CERTAIN <br />CONDITIONS; CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A <br />PENALTY. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, <br />MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Chapter 10.40 of the University City Municipal Code, relating to stopping, <br />standing and parking generally, is hereby amended by repealing Section 10.40.210 thereof, relating <br />to parking trucks and commemial vehicles, and enacting in lieu thereof a new section to be known <br />as "Section 10.40.210 Parking trucks and commercial vehicles prohibited-Exc, eptions;" thereby <br />amending said section so as to permit the parking of tracks up to six thousand pounds (6,000 lbs.) <br />gross vehicle weight on residential streets and alleys under certain conditions; so that said section, <br />as so amended, shall read as follows: <br /> <br />10.40.210 Parking trucks and commemial vehicles prohibited-Exceptions <br /> <br />It shall be unlawful to park any bus or truck larger than six thousand pounds (6,000 <br />lbs.) gross vehicle weight on any street or in any alley other than the streets and <br />places named herein, except for the purpose of collecting or delivering goods or <br />articles in the immediate vicinity or for the purpose of providing business services <br />relating to premises in the immediate vicinity: <br /> <br />Bartmer Industrial Drive, from Sutter Avenue to the east City limits. <br /> <br />East Industrial Drive, from Olive Boulevard to Bartmer Industrial Drive. <br /> <br />Maple Avenue, from SuRer Avenue to the east city limits. <br /> <br />Olive Boulevard, from Sutter Avenue to the east city limits. <br /> <br />It shall be unlawful to park or store any track larger than six thousand pounds (6,000 <br />lbs.) gross vehicle weight or commercial vehicle on any street or in any alley on any <br />day of the week between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. <br /> <br />Notwithstanding subsection B of this section, a truck displaying current state license <br />plates lawfully issued to it for six thousand pounds (6,000 lbs.) gross vehicle weight <br />may be parked on a street or in an alley where otherwise permitted on any day of the <br /> <br /> <br />
