BILL NO. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE COMPENSATION TO BE PAID TO THE FIRE <br />CAPTAINS AND FIREFIGHTERS AS ENUMERATED HEREIN FROM AND <br />AFTER JUNE 19, 2002, REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 6317 AND <br />CONTAINING AN EMERGENCY CLAUSE. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, <br />MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. From and after July 1, 1985, all full-time non-executive, non-administrative <br />or non-professional employees shall be subject to the work week or work cycle and regulations <br />relating to overtime work except as noted. A listing of executive, administrative, and professionally <br />designated employees or positions shall be issued by the City Manager. <br /> <br />The work cycle of uniformed Fire personnel below the rank of Battalion Chief shall be 27 days or <br />216 hours per cycle. Hours worked in excess of these totals, when authorized in advance by the Fire <br />Chief, are customarily paid at the rate of time and one-half(I-1/2) of base pay. Compensatory time <br />may be granted by the Fire Chief with accumulation not to exceed 480 hours. Hours worked, <br />including vacation hours, between 204 and 216 hours, in any one cycle shall be compensated for, in <br />addition to their regular rate, at one-half (½) of that employee's regular hourly rate. <br /> <br /> <br />
