Section 3. <br /> A) From and after June 21, 2000, initially payable July 7, 2000, Fire Captains, Paramedic <br />Fire Captains, Firefighters, and Paramedic Firefighters shall receive compensation for ten (10) years <br />consecutive City service, excepting military leave of absence, in their present classification in the <br />following amounts, from the eleventh (1 lth) year through the fifteenth (15th) year: <br /> <br />In Pay Grade Monthly Amount <br />1 lA Firefighters $70 <br />11M Paramedic Firefighters $70 <br />16A Fire Captains $79 <br />16M Paramedic Fire Captains $79 <br /> <br /> B) From and after June 21, 2000, initially payable July 7, 2000, Firefighters and Paramedic <br />Firefighters shall receive compensation for fifteen (15) years consecutive City service, excepting <br />military leave of absence, in their present classification in the following amounts, from the sixteenth <br />(16th) year through the twentieth (20th) year: <br /> <br />In Pay Grade Monthly Amotmt <br />11A Firefighters $122 <br />11M Paramedic Firefighters $122 <br /> <br /> C) The following is only Firefighters who will be receiving 20 years longevity pay on <br />October 1, 2001. They shall continue in their pay status but no new awards shall be made after that <br />date. From and after June 21, 2000, initially payable July 7, 2000, Firefighters shall receive <br />compensation for twenty (20) years of consecutive City service, excepting military leave of absence, <br />in their present classification in the following amounts, from the twenty-first (21 st) year: <br /> <br />In Pay Grade Monthly Amount <br />11A Firefighters $162 <br /> <br />For the purpose of calculating consecutive service in this section, time served in the classifications of <br />Firefighter and Paramedic Firefighter are combined for the same person. <br /> <br /> Section 4. From and after July 1, 1985, all full-time employees shall have their hourly <br />rate computed as follows: <br /> The hourly rate for full-time Fire Captains, Paramedic Fire Captains, Firefighters, and <br /> Paramedic Firefighters, who according to Section 2, have a work cycle of 27 days, shall have <br /> their hourly rate computed multiplying the monthly rate by 12, dividing that product by <br /> 2,912. <br /> <br /> Section 5. <br />repealed. <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 6317, and all ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby <br /> <br /> Section 6. An emergency is hereby declared to exist in that this ordinance is needed to <br />authorize the payroll beginning June 19, 2002. <br /> <br /> <br />
