13. <br />14. <br /> <br /> August 2, 2002 Text Amendment Ordinance <br />Signs lettered in a crude or amateurish fashion. <br />Other signs not expressly permitted by this Article. <br /> <br />Page 11 of 21 <br /> <br />34-104.2 Permitted Signs <br /> <br />Except as otherwise limited in this Section, the following types of signs are <br />permitted, without a sign permit, in all of the zoning districts of University City: <br /> <br />Construction signs, provided only one (1) such sign may be erected on <br />each street frontage for the duration of such construction activities. The <br />sign shall not exceed ten (10) square feet in gross area for each ten <br />thousand (10,000) square feet of lot area or fraction thereof, not to exceed <br />a total of one hundred (100) square feet. Such sign(s) shall be located on <br />the property in which the construction activity is taking place. <br /> <br />SECTION 34-110 ZONING ADMINISTRATOR <br /> <br />34-110.2 Duties <br /> <br />The Zoning Administrator, or his/her designee, shall be responsible for <br />interpreting and administering the provisions of this Chapter and shall have <br />primary responsibility for the enforcement of this Chapter by means of the duties <br />specified herein. Without limiting the generality of the previous sentence, the <br />duties and authority of the Zoning Administrator shall be as follows: <br /> <br />13. <br /> <br />At his discretion or if required by special use permit, the Zoning <br />Administrator may require from the applicant for major construction <br />projects a detailed construction traffic control and parking plan for the <br />construction to be submitted to the Director of Planning for approval. The <br />Plan shall also be reviewed by the Public Works Department. Said plan <br />shall set forth details pertaining to worker and resident parking during all <br />phases of the proposed construction. It shall further detail solutions to <br />public property maintenance issues such as street cleaning and traffic <br />diversion. <br /> <br />SECTION 34-10: DEFINITIONS <br /> <br />Resale/Thrift Shop: Any retail business where over 50% of the revenue is derived <br />from the sale of previously owned items including but not limited to clothes, <br />appliance, furniture, electronic equipment, sports equipment, jewelry, cameras, <br />tools, and household items (however, a facility for the resale of written, printed or <br />audio reproduction items shall not be considered resale/thrift under the meaning <br /> <br />x-textamord08-02-02K:\WPOFFICE\Wpdata\x-textamord08-02-02.frm <br /> <br /> <br />
