August 2, 2002 Text Amendment Ordinance Page 6 of 21 <br />To make such rules and regulations with respect to commission <br />procedures as are consistent with the intent and purposes of this article <br />and as are necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the Commission <br />under this article; <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />To consider all applications for amendments, modifications or revisions <br />of this article, and to make recommendations concerning such <br />applications to the City Council in such manner as to afford review and <br />comment by the Plan Commission; <br /> <br />To file an application with the Zoning Administrator to amend the text of <br />the Zoning Code or to rezone any property in University City; <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />To initiate from time to time a comprehensive review of the provisions <br />of this article or any part thereof; <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />To disseminate to owners or occupants of historic landmarks or within <br />historic districts, or to the general public, information concerning the <br />preservation of historic landmarks or historic districts; <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br />To solicit grants or gifts on behalf of the City and to make <br />recommendations to the City Council regarding the acceptance of grants <br />or gifts; <br /> <br />13. <br /> <br />To spend appropriated funds, grant allocations, or other funds, for the <br />employment of technical advisors and other budgeted operating <br />expenses, subject to the limitations of established City budgetary and <br />purchasing procedures; <br /> <br />14. <br /> <br />To recommend inspections by Department of Planning and Development <br />Staff and a representative of Historic Preservation Commission of <br />historic structures or objects within historic districts and to advise the <br />Department of Planning and Development Staff of any findings of <br />deterioration such that the landmark, structure or object is in a state of <br />demolition as defined in Section 34-78, subject to staff scheduling and <br />budgetary restrictions. The Commission may recommend that the City <br />require repairs sufficient to prevent demolition by deterioration; <br /> <br />15. <br /> <br />To recommend to the Traffic Commission, Plan Commission and City <br />Council a plan for any established historic landmark site or historic <br />district regarding development, which plan may be adopted by the City <br /> <br />x-textamord08-02-02K:\WPOFFICE\Wpdata~x-textamord08-02-02.frm <br /> <br /> <br />
