B~LNO. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. ~q~ ¢ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 34 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE <br />OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, RELATING TO ZONING, BY <br />REPEALING SECTION 34-106.3(5) THEREOF RELATING TO TEMPORARY <br />PROMOTIONAL DISPLAY, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW <br />SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 34-106.3(5), TEMPORARY <br />PROMOTIONAL DISPLAYS" BY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS TO <br />CHANGE TIME RESTRICTIONS; CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND <br />PROVIDING A PENALTY. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, <br />MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at its meeting held at City Hall at 7:30 p.m. on June 23, 2004, the University <br />City Plan Commission recommended an amendment of Section 34-106.3(5) of the University <br />City Zoning Code by adding provisions that change time restrictions; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, due notice of public hearings to be held by the City Council in the City <br />Council Chambers at City Hall at 7:30 p.m..on ~tX0x~L&~ I[a ~ JlO-Uc/ <br />was duly published in the ~-o4~- LqlXL01 0,l~~,~ - , a newspaper of general <br />circulation within said City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said public hearings were held at the time and place specified in said notice, <br />and all suggestions or objections conceming said amendment were duly heard and considered by <br />the City Council; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Chapter 34 of the Municipal Code of the City of University City, Missouri, <br />relating to zoning is hereby amended by repealing Section 34-106.3(5), relating to Temporary <br />Promotional Displays, and enacting in lieu thereof a new section to be known as "Section 34- <br />106.3(5), Temporary Promotional Displays" by amending said section so as to change time <br />restrictions, as so amended shall read as follows: <br /> <br />Temporary Promotional Displays: <br />Temporary promotional displays shall be permitted for a maximum of <br />forty (40) calendar days during a calendar year, with a gross sign area <br />equal to the maximum gross sign area permitted for primary signs for said <br />use, provided the displays are securely mounted to minimize movement <br />due to wind and air currents and a permit is obtained for such temporary <br />promotional display prior to installation.
