BP1'6i"i'3/1924' <br /> <br />BILL NO. g75/) <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. ~ql~ ~ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND SURRENDERING A PORTION <br />OF APPLETON DRIVE RIGHT-OF-WAY BETWEEN 1352 AND 1400 <br />COOLDGE DRIVE IN THE DARTSDALE SUBDIVISION, BUT <br />RESERVING A TEN-FOOT WIDE WALKWAY AND ANY PUBLIC <br />UTILITY EASEMENTS, AND DIRECTING THAT THIS ORDINANCE <br />BE RECORDED IN THE OFFICE OF THE RECORDER OF DEEDS OF <br />ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MISSOURI. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Appleton Drive is a public right-of-way between 1352 and 1400 <br />Coolidge Drive in the Dartsdale Subdivision in University City, in St. Louis County, <br />Missouri; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, due notice of a public hearing, to be held by the City Council in the <br />City Council Chambers at City Hall on July 12, 2004, at 7:30 p.m., to hear any comments <br />concerning the proposed vacation of said right-of-way, was duly published in the St. <br />Louis Countian, a newspaper of general circulation within said City, on June 30, 2004; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said public hearing was held at the time and place specified in said <br />notice, and all comments concerning the vacation of said right-of-way were duly heard <br />and considered by the City Council. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The public right-of-way between 1352 and 1400 Coolidge Drive in <br />the Dartsdale Subdivision in University City, in St. Louis County, Missouri, and all of the <br />City of University City's right, title and interest therein is hereby vacated, surrendered <br />and quitclaimed, reserving, however, a ten-foot wide walkway and all public utility <br />easements, if any; said property is more specifically described as follows: <br /> <br />PARCEL A <br /> <br />Parcel A is irregularly shaped and is approximately 20' x 175' and is located in <br />the right-of-way of Appleton Drive (50 feet wide). Parcel A is within the Plat of <br />Dartsdale Subdivision, a subdivision recorced in book 21, page 1 in the records of <br />the St. Louis County Recorder of Deeds. Parcel A is more particularly described <br />as follows: <br /> <br />The point of beginning is located on the east right-of-way line of Coolidge Drive <br />(50 feet wide) and 35 feet north of the southwest comer of Lot 1 of Block 15 of <br /> <br /> <br />
