BILL NO. ~r') 'Q AN ORDINANCE REPEALING CHAPTER 8.28 OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO THE PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW CHAPTER TO BE KNOWN AS "CHAPTER 8.28 PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE," THEREBY AMENDING SAID CHAPTER SO AS TO ADOPT THE INTERNATIONAL PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE, 2003 EDITION, WITH CERTAIN AMENDMENTS; CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. ORDINANCE NO. {f? '+0 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Chapter 8.28 of the University City Municipal Code, relating to the Property Maintenance Code, is hereby repealed, and a new chapter, to be known as "Chapter 8.28 Property Maintenance Code," is hereby enacted in lieu thereof, thereby repealing the International Property Maintenance Code, 2000 Edition, and adopting the International Property Maintenance Code, 2003 Edition, with certain amendments, so that said new Chapter 8.28, as so amended, shall read as follows: Chapter 8.28 Property Maintenance Code Section 8.28.01 0 Adoption. The International Property Maintenance Code, 2003 Edition, as published by the International Code Council, Inc., three copies of which were on file in the office of the city clerk for a period of ninety days prior to the adoption of this Ordinance and available for public use, inspection and examination, and a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated by this reference as if fully set forth herein, is hereby adopted as the Property Maintenance Code of the City of University City, Missouri, subject to the amendments, additions, insertions, deletions and changes set out in Section 8.28.020 of this chapter. Section 8.28.020. Additions, insertions, deletions and amendments. The following numbered sections and subsections of the International Property Maintenance Code, 2003 Edition, are hereby amended by additions, insertions, deletions and changes so that such sections and subsections shall read as follows: s
