<br />[F] 904.4.4 Water flow tests: Water flow tests for flre sprinkler systems shall be conducted <br />between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. <br /> <br />[F] 904.4.5 Water flow safety factor: A safety factor shall be applied to all flow tests for <br />the sprinkler systems. A parallel curve shall be drawn to the actual flow test curve that has <br />been reduced by twenty percent (20%) of the static pressure. A sprinkler system design shall <br />not exceed the twenty percent (20%) curve. <br /> <br />(SECTION 906 PORTABLE FIRE EXTINGUISHERS) <br /> <br />[F] 906.1 Where required: A portable flre extinguisher shall be installed in the following <br />locations in accordance with the NFP A 70, National Electrical Code, 2005 Edition, listed in <br />Chapter 35: <br /> <br />1. In all buildings of Group A, B, E, F, H, M, I-1, R-1 or S. <br />2. In all areas containing commercial kitchen exhaust hood systems. <br />3. In all areas where fuel is dispensed. <br />4. In all areas where a flammable or combustible liquid is used in the operation of <br />spraying, coating, or dipping. <br />5. In all areas of Group I-3 at staff locations. Access to portable extinguishers shall <br />be permitted to be locked. <br />6. On each completed floor of buildings under construction, other than buildings of <br />Group R-3. <br />7. In any laboratory, shop or other room used for similar purposes. <br />8. Where required by the International Fire Prevention Code, 2003 Edition, listed in <br />Chapter 35. <br /> <br />(SECTION 907 FIRE ALARM AND DETECTION SYSTEMS) <br /> <br />[F] 907.2.10 Single and multiple station smoke alarms: Listed single and multiple <br />station smoke alarms shall be installed in accordance with the provisions of this code and the <br />household flre-warning equipment provisions of NFP A 72. <br />Exception: Smoke alarms installed in an existing building where there is no change in <br />use where the building is not being altered or substantially rehabilitated, shall not be <br />required to be interconnected and shall be permitted with either an AC primary <br />power or a monitored battery power source. <br /> <br />(CHAPTER 14 EXTERIOR WALLS) <br /> <br />12 <br />
