<br />For multiple boilers or battery of modular unit installations, each boiler or battery of <br />modular units shall have individual shutoff valves in the supply and return piping. <br /> <br />2810.5 Periodic inspections: All boilers and pressure vessels shall be inspected by the <br />Missouri Department of Public Safety, Division of Fire Safety, Boiler/Pressure <br />Vessel Unit as provided by state statutes. <br /> <br />(CHAPTER 29 PLUMBING SYSTEMS) <br /> <br />(SECTION 2901 GENERAL) <br /> <br />2901.1 Scope: The design and installation of plumbing systems, including sanitary and <br />storm drainage, sanitary facilities, water supplies and storm water and sewage disposal in <br />buildings, shall comply with the requirements of this chapter and the International Plumbing <br />Code, 2003 Edition, listed in Chapter 35. <br /> <br />2901.2 Location of water service and sewers: No part of the plumbing system, including <br />water service pipes and building sewers shall be located in any lot other than the lot which is <br />the site of the structure or premises served by such facilities. <br /> <br />2901.3 Freezing: Water service piping and sewers shall be installed below recorded frost <br />penetration but not less than three (3) feet six (6) inches below grade for water piping and <br />two (2) feet six (6) inches below grade for sewers. Plumbing pipes in exterior building walls <br />or areas subject to freezing temperatures shall be adequately protected from freezing by <br />insulation or heat or both. <br /> <br />2901.5 Storm water discharge on grade: Storm water collected from roofs, paved areas, <br />yards, courts and sub-soil drainage systems serving one-and two-family dwellings, and in <br />other locations where approved, shall not unreasonably alter the existing water flow on and <br />off the property so as to cause a nuisance or damage to adjacent property. <br /> <br />(SECTION 2904 PERMITS AND CERTIFICATES OF APPROVAL) <br /> <br />2904.5 Homeowner permits: Subject to all provisions of sections 2904.6.1 through <br />2904.6.6, a permit shall be issued to the owner or to a member of the owner's immediate <br />family for the repair or "modification (including the installation of additional fixtures) of an <br />existing plumbing or drainage system on the premises of a detached one-family dwelling, <br />including accessory structures. <br /> <br />2904.6.1: The dwelling shall be designed and used solely for living purposes. <br /> <br />16 <br />
