<br />code or the rules legally adopted thereunder have been incorrectly interpreted, the provisions <br />of this code do not fully apply, or an equivalent form of construction can be used. <br /> <br />(C) Filing procedures: All appeals shall be filed in writing with the authority having <br />jurisdiction within thirty (30) days after the order, decision or determination is rendered by <br />the authority having jurisdiction and shall state the grounds therefore. Appeals must be <br />accompanied by a fee in the amount specified in Section 2.66.40 the University City <br />Municipal Code. <br /> <br />(D) Membership of board: The Board of Appeals shall consist of seven members <br />appointed by the City Council. Board members shall be appointed for five year terms and <br />serve until a successor has been appointed. <br /> <br />(E) Qualifications of board members: At least three of the members shall each have at <br />least ten (10) years experience as a registered architect, builder, superintendent of building <br />construction or as a registered professional engineer with structural, civil or architectural <br /> <br />.. . <br />engmeermg experIence. <br /> <br />(F) Chairperson: The Board of Appeals shall annually select one of its members to serve <br />as chairperson. <br /> <br />(G) Notice of meeting: The meeting shall be upon notice from the chairperson, within <br />thirty (30) days of the filing of an appeal, or at stated periodic meetings. <br /> <br />(H) Board powers: The Board of Appeals may reverse, afflrm or modify the order, <br />decision or determination of the authority having jurisdiction. <br /> <br />(I) Board decisions: The Board of Appeals shall act by majority vote, and a quorum shall <br />consist of at least five members. The decision of the board of Appeals shall be by <br />resolution, approved by at least three of its members participating in the appeal. <br /> <br />80.19 Permits and Approvals: (F)(3) Whenever any portion of the electrical installation <br />within the jurisdiction of an electrical inspector is to be hidden from view by the permanent <br />placement of parts of the building, the person, firm or corporation installing the equipment <br />shall notify the ele<;trical inspector, and such equipment shall not be concealed until it has <br />been approved by an electrical inspector. <br /> <br />80.23 Notice of Violations, Penalties: (B)(3) Any person, firm or corporation who <br />violates any of the applicable provisions of this article shall be guilty of an ordinance <br />violation, punishable as provided in Section 1.12.010 of the University City Municipal Code. <br /> <br />3 <br />
