<br />E. Within thirty (30) feet upon the approach of any flashing beacon or stop sign;
<br />F. Within two hundred fifty (250) feet of any street intersection where traffic is controlled by a
<br />traffic-control signal, unless a shorter distance is indicated by signs posted near the curb by
<br />authority of the city, in which case the distance indicated by such signs shall control;
<br />G. Within fifteen (15) feet of the driveway entrance to any fire station;
<br />H. Within ten feet of a fire hydrant;
<br />I. In front of a private or public driveway;
<br />J. Across from a private or public driveway on a street or alley less than twenty-one (21) feet in
<br />width;
<br />K. On a sidewalk, except at 7401 Delmar, where the director of public works has designated and
<br />marked the place as a handicapped parking area and the operator of the vehicle is authorized to
<br />park in other handicapped parking areas as provided in Section 10.40.040;
<br />L. Alongside or opposite any street excavation or obstruction when such stopping, standing or
<br />parking would obstruct traffic;
<br />M. On the roadway side of any vehicle stopped or parked at the edge or curb of a street;
<br />N. At any place where official traffic signs have been erected prohibiting standing and parking;
<br />O. Within fifty (50) feet of the nearest rail of a steam or interurban railway crossing;
<br />P. Within six feet of any United States mailbox;
<br />Q. On any unpaved portions of street rights-of-way;
<br />R. In city parks or lawns except in authorized parking areas;
<br />S. In marked and signed areas no greater than fifty (50) feet in advance of any marked and
<br />signed pedestrian crosswalk. (Ord. 6489 ~ 1,2004)
<br />T. On Big Bend Blvd., both sides, from Delmar Blvd. to Forsyth Blvd. except by bus stops
<br />U. On Forest Park Pkwy., both sides, from the City limits with Clayton City to the city limits of
<br />St. Louis City except by bus stops
<br />
<br />Section 2. This ordinance shall not be construed so as to relieve any person, firm or corporation
<br />from any penalty heretofore incurred by the violation of Chapter 10.40, Section 10.40.020, nor
<br />bar the prosecution for any such violation.
<br />
<br />Section 3. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall,
<br />upon conviction thereof, be subject to the penalty provided in Chapter 1.12, section 1.12.010 of
<br />the University City Municipal Code.
<br />
<br />Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage as provided
<br />by law.
