INTRODUCED BY: Ms. Welsch DATE: 01109/06 BILL NO.: 8840 ORDINANCE NO.: 6607 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF 6818 CHAMBERLAIN COURT BY THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, AND AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS FOR THE PURCHASE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Manager, on behalf of the City of University City, is hereby authorized to enter into and execute a contract to purchase real property at 6818 Chamberlain Court, University City, Missouri. The attached "Special Sale Contract Number 12605782" is hereby incorporated herein by this reference and is approved. The City Manager is further authorized to sign all documents in connection with the purchase of the property. Section 2. The expenditure of funds in the amount of $21 ,900 is hereby authorized for the purchase of said real property, plus a reasonable amount for any and all inspections, surveys, title insurance, and other customary closing costs or charges. Payment shall be made from the General Fund. Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage as provided by law. PASSED this 30th day of January ,2006.
