INTRODUCED BY Ms. Brot DATE July 10, 2006 BILL NO. 8899 ORDINANCE NO. 6660 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10.36 OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO REGULATIONS FOR SPECIFIC STREETS, BY REPEALING SECTION1O.36.150 THEREOF, RELATING TO LEFT TURNS PROHIBITED ON CERTAIN STREETS AT ALL TIMES OR DURING DESIGNATED HOURS, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 10.36.150 LEFT TURNS PROHIBITED ON CERTAIN STREETS AT ALL TIMES OR DURING DESIGNATED HOURS," THEREBY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS TO PROHIBIT LEFT TURNS FROM UNIVERSITY DRIVE ONTO HANLEY ROAD FROM MONDAY THRU FRIDAY FROM 7:00 A.M. TO 9:00 A.M. ; CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE City of University City, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Chapter 10.36 of the University City Municipal Code, relating to regulations for specific streets, is hereby amended by repealing Section 10.36.150 thereof, relating to left turns prohibited on certain streets at all times or during designated hours, and enacting in lieu thereof a new section to be known as "Section 10.36.150 Left turns prohibited on certain streets at all times or during designated hours," thereby amending said section so as to prohibit left turns from University Drive onto Hanley Road from Monday thru Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.; so that said section, as so amended, shall read as follows: "Section 10.36.150 Left turns prohibited on certain streets at all times or during designated hours," It is unlawful for the driver of any vehicle to tum such vehicle to the left on the following streets: Big Bend Boulevard at Northmoor Drive: Northbound vehicles on Big Bend Boulevard at Northmoor Drive. Big Bend Boulevard at Pershing Avenue: Northbound vehicles on Big Bend Boulevard at the intersection with Pershing Avenue between the hours of seven a.m. and nine a.m. and between the hours of four p.m. and seven p.m. on all days except Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays. Big Bend Boulevard at University Drive: All vehicles entering Big Bend Boulevard from University Drive between the hours of seven a.m. and seven p.m. on all days except Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays. Delmar Boulevard near 1-170: Northbound vehicles onto Delmar Boulevard from the private road on the south side of Delmar Boulevard, two hundred one (201) feet east of the 1-170 bridge abutment, between the hours of four p.m. and six p.m. on all days except Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays. Forest Park Parkway at Big Bend Boulevard: Vehicles entering the intersection of Forest Park Parkway and Big Bend Boulevard from the north, south and east between the hours of seven a.m. and nine-thirty a.m. and between the hours of three-thirty p.m. and six-thirty p.m. on all days except Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays. Hanley Road at Melrose Avenue: Southbound vehicles on Hanley Road at the intersection with Melrose Avenue between the hours of seven a.m. and nine a.m. and between the hours of four p.m. and six p.m. on all days except Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays. Hanley Road near Olive Boulevard: Northbound vehicles on Hanley Road, from the northern point of Olive Boulevard to a point three hundred (300) feet northward, and vehicles exiting the property on the western side of Hanley Road between said points. Hanley Road at Wellington Avenue: Southbound vehicles on Hanley Road at the intersection with Wellington Avenue between the hours of seven a.m. and nine a.m. and between the hours of four p.m. and six p.m. on all days except Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays.
