For both subject areas, the approach will be the same. The City will acquire property
within the areas as it becomes available for purposes of land consolidation and improvements.
The proposed method of property acquisition is outright purchase, and failing to accept an offer,
condemnation and eminent domain. The City will attempt to retain any businesses that are
relocated as a result of LCRA action. As property is acquired, the LCRA will make tracts
available to developers for redevelopment.
The maximum length of time anticipated for implementation is four years.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approval of the two redevelopment plans.
