F <br /> AGENDA SECTION: New Business <br /> CAN THIS ITEM BE RESCHEDULED? : No <br /> BACKGROUND REVIEW: To further the City's economic development goals and <br /> strategies, the University City LCRA hired PGAV Urban Consulting to prepare a <br /> blighting analysis and a redevelopment plan for several parcels located near Olive <br /> Boulevard and North and South Road. The blighting analysis for the area was adopted : <br /> by LCRA on December 7, 2007 and the plan was adopted on January 23, 2008. On <br /> February 27, 2008 the plan was reviewed by the Plan Commission, which found it to be <br /> in conformity with the City's Comprehensive Plan Update of 2005. <br /> In accordance with the LCRA Law, the blighting analysis and redevelopment plan must 4 <br /> now being forwarded to City Council. An ordinance finding blight and adopting the <br /> redevelopment plan should receive a first reading at the Council's March 24, 2008 <br /> regular business meeting.
