INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Sharpe, Jr. DATE: June 23,2008 BILL NO. 9000 ORDINANCE NO. 6752 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10.48 OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO PARKING METERS, BY REPEALING SECTION 10.48.30 THEREOF, RELATING TO PARKING METER ZONES- DESIGNATED, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 10.48.30 PARKING METER ZONES- DESIGNATED," THEREBY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS TO ZONE B TO INCLUDE SPECIFIC PORTIONS OF FORSYTH BOULEVARD AND THE PARKING LOT LOCATED AT THE NORTH-WEST CORNER OF LINDELL BLVD. AND FORSYTH BLVD; CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE City of University City, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Chapter 10.48 of the University City Municipal Code, relating to parking meters, is hereby amended by repealing Section 10.48.30 thereof, relating to establishing designated parking meter zones, and enacting in lieu thereof a new section to be known as "Section 10.48.30 Parking meter zones - designated," thereby amending said section so as to Zone B to include specific portions of Forsyth Boulevard and the parking lot located at the north-west corner of Lindell Blvd. and Forsyth Blvd.; so that said section, as so amended, shall read as follows: 10.48.030 Parking meter zones-Designated. There is established in the city of University City designated parking meter zones which shall include the following streets or parts of streets: Zone A Gannon Avenue: The south side from the alley east of North and South Boulevard to North and South Boulevard. Zone B Delmar Boulevard: Both sides from Harvard Avenue to the east city limits. Forsyth Boulevard: north side thereof from a point 75 feet of the west line of Lindell Boulevard to a point 98 feet to the west. And, north side thereof from a point 22 feet of the east line of Lindell Boulevard to a point 36 feet to the east. Parking Lot Forsyth and Lindell: located at the north-west corner of the intersection of Lindell Blvd and Forsyth Blvd. Zone C Gannon Avenue: The south side from the alley west of North and South Boulevard to North and South Boulevard. Heman Avenue: East side thereof from Delmar Boulevard to Enright Avenue. Kingsland Avenue: Both Sides from Loop South to Washington Avenue. Leland Avenue: East side thereof from Delmar Boulevard to Loop South. Limit Avenue: Both sides from Delmar Boulevard south to the alley. Melville Avenue: Both sides from Delmar Boulevard to the alley south thereof.
