<br />F. Within two hundred fifty (250) feet of any street intersection where traffic is <br />controlled by a traffic-control signal, unless a shorter distance is indicated by signs <br />posted near the curb by authority of the city, in which case the distance indicated by <br />such signs shall control; <br />G. Within fifteen (15) feet of the driveway entrance to any fire station; <br />H. Withi~ ten feet of a fire hydrant; <br />I. In front of a private or public driveway; <br />J. Across from a private or public driveway on a street or alley less than twenty-one <br />(21) feet in width; <br />K. On a sidewalk, except at 7401 Delmar, where the director of public works has <br />designated and marked the place as a handicapped parking area and the operator of <br />the vehicle is authorized to park in other handicapped parking areas as provided in <br />Section 10.40.040; <br />L. Alongside or opposite any street excavation or obstruction when such stopping, <br />standing or parking would obstruct traffic; <br />M. On the roadway side of any vehicle stopped or parked at the edge or curb of a <br />street; <br />N. At any place where official traffic signs have been erected prohibiting standing and <br />parking; <br />O. Within fifty (50) feet of the nearest rail of a steam or inter-urban railway crossing; <br />P. Within six feet of any United States mailbox; <br />a. On any unpaved portions of street rights-of-way; <br />R. In city parks or lawns except in authorized parking areas; <br />S. In marked and signed areas no greater than fifty (50) feet in advance of any <br />marked and signed pedestrian crosswalk; <br />T. On Big Bend Blvd., both sides, from Delmar Blvd. to Forsyth Blvd. except by bus <br />stops; <br />U. On Forest Park Pkwy., both sides, from the city limits with Clayton City to the city <br />limits of St. Louis City except by bus stops. <br />V. On Groby Road, south side of the street, from the east line of Old Bonhomme <br />Road to the west side of Tulane Avenue, except by operators of a vehicles other <br />than Golf Course customers. <br /> <br />Section 2. This ordinance shall not be construed so as to relieve any person, firm or <br />corporation from any penalty heretofore incurred by the violation of Chapter 10.40, Section <br />10.40.020, nor bar the prosecution for any such violation. <br /> <br />Section 3. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this ordinance <br />shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to the penalty provided in Chapter 1.12, section <br />1.12.010 of the University City Municipal Code. <br /> <br />Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage as <br />provided by law. <br /> <br />PASSED this 17th day of November, 2008. <br />
