A 125-volt, single-phase, 15- or 20- ampere-rated receptacle outlet <br /> shall be installed at an accessible location for the servicing of heating, air-conditioning and <br /> refrigeration equipment. The receptacle shall be located on the same level and within 25 feet <br /> (7620 mm) of the heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment. The receptacle outlet <br /> shall not be connected to the load side of the HVAC equipment disconnecting means. <br /> Exception: <br /> 1. A receptacle outlet shall not be required for the servicing of evaporative coolers. <br /> 2. Replacement of existing mechanical equipment with like equipment not requiring re- <br /> wiring that is either in the basement or at grade on the exterior shall not require the <br /> installation of the HVAC outlet. <br /> (SECTION R403 FOOTINGS) <br /> <br /> R403.1.4.1 Frost protection. Except where otherwise protected from frost, foundation walls, <br /> piers and other permanent supports of buildings and structures shall be protected from frost by <br /> one or more of the following methods: <br /> <br /> 1. Extended below the frost line of 30" below grade. <br /> 2. Constructed in accordance with ASCE 32; or <br /> 3. Erected on solid rock. <br /> Exception: Free standing structures of less than 125 square feet in area and less than 10 feet in <br /> height. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Section 2. This ordinance shall not be construed so as to relieve any person, firm or <br /> corporation from any penalty heretofore incurred by the violation of Chapter 15.01, nor bar the <br /> prosecution for any such violation. <br /> <br /> Section 3. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this <br /> ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to the penalty provided in Chapter 1. 12, <br /> Section 1.12.010 of the University City Municipal Code. <br /> <br /> Section 4.
