INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Sharpe, Jr. DATE: March 23, 2009 BILL NO. 9033 ORDINANCE NO. 6777 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 15 OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO BUILDINGS AND CONSTRUCTION, BY REPEALING CHAPTER 15.06 THEREOF, RELATING TO THE ELECTRICAL CODE, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW CHAPTER TO BE KNOWN AS "CHAPTER 15.06 ELECTRICAL CODE"; THEREBY AMENDING CHAPTER 15.06 SO AS TO ADOPT THE INTERNATIONAL CODE COUNCIL, ELECTRICAL CODE (ADMINISTRATIVE PROVISIONS), 2006 EDITION, WITH CERTAIN CHANGES THERETO, AND TO DELETE ANNEX G AND AMEND SECTION 210.63 OF THE NFPA 70, NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE, 2005 EDITION; CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Title 15 of the University City Municipal Code, relating to buildings and construction, is hereby amended by repealing Chapter 15.06 thereof, relating to the Electrical Code, and enacting in lieu thereof a new chapter to be known as "Chapter 15.06 Electrical Code", which shall read as follows: Chapter 15.06 Electrical Code INTERNATIONAL CODE COUNCIL, ELECTRICAL CODE (ADMINISTRATIVE PROVISIONS), 2006 EDITION Section 15.06.010 Adoption. The International Code Council, Electrical Code (Administrative Provisions), 2006 Edition, as published by the International Code Council, Inc., three copies of which were on file in the office of the city clerk for a period of ninety days prior to the adoption of this Ordinance and available for public use, inspection and examination, and a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated by this reference as if fully set forth herein, is hereby adopted as the Electrical Code of the City of University City, Missouri, subject to the amendments, additions, insertions, deletions and changes set out in Section 15.06.020 of this chapter.
