<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> 1002.3 Service. Any order or notice issued pursuant to this code shall be served upon the owner, <br /> operator, occupant or other person responsible for the condition or violation, either by personal <br /> service, mail or be delivering the same to, and leaving it with, some person of responsibility <br /> upon the premises. For unattended or abandoned locations, a copy of such order or notice shall <br /> be posted on the premises in a conspicuous place at or near the entrance to the premises, and <br /> shall be mailed to the last known address of the contractor and or owner. <br /> <br /> (SECTION 1003 PENALTIES) <br /> 1003.1 Penalties. Any person who shall violate a provision of this code or shall fail to comply <br /> with any of the requirements thereof or who shall erect, install, alter or repair electrical work in <br /> violation of the approved construction documents or directive of the code official, or of a permit <br /> or certificate issued under the provision of this code, shall be guilty of an ordinance violation, <br /> punishable as provided in Section 1.12.010 of the University City Municipal Code. Each day that <br /> a violation continues after due notice has been served shall be deemed a separate offense. <br /> <br /> (SECTION 1004 STOP WORK ORDER) <br /> <br /> (SECTION 1004 STOP WORK ORDER) <br /> <br /> 1004.1 Issuance. Upon notice from the code official, work on any electrical system that is being <br /> done contrary to the provisions of this code or in a dangerous or unsafe manner shall <br /> immediately cease. Such notice shall be in writing and shall be given to the owner of the <br /> property, or to the owner's agent, or to the person doing the work. The notice shall state the <br /> conditions under which work is authorized to resume. Where an emergency exists, the code <br /> official shall not be required to give a written notice prior to stopping the work. Any person who <br /> shall continue any work in or about the structure after having been served with a stop work order, <br /> except such work as that person is directed to perform to remove a violation or unsafe condition, <br /> shall be guilty of ordinance violation, punishable as provided in Section 1. 12.010 of the <br /> University City Municipal Code. <br /> <br /> 1004.3 Unlawful continuance. Delete in its entirety. <br /> <br /> (CHAPTER 11 MEANS OF APPEAL) <br /> <br /> (SECTION 1101 GENERAL) <br /> <br /> 1101.1 Board of appeals established. University City Building Code Section 112 shall be <br /> applicable for all appeals involving this code. <br /> <br /> 1101.2 Limitations on authority.
