y NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Chapter 15.045 "Existing Building Code" of Title 15 of the University City Municipal Code is hereby amended by repealing Chapter 15.045 thereof, and enacting in lieu thereof a new Chapter 15.045 "Existing Building Code", which shall read as follows: Chapter 15.045 Existing Building Code 15.045.010 -Adoption. The International Existing Building Code, 2012 Edition, as published by the International Code Council, Inc., one copy of which was on file in the office of the City Clerk for a period of ninety (90) days prior to the adoption of this chapter and available for public use, inspection and examination, and a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated by this reference as if fully set forth herein, is hereby adopted as the Existing Building Code of the City of University City, Missouri, subject to the amendments, additions, insertions, deletions and changes set out in Section 15.045.020 of this chapter. 15.045.020 -Additions, insertions, deletions and amendments. The following numbered sections and subsections of the International Existing Building Code, 2012 Edition, as published by the International Code Council, Inc., are hereby amended by additions, insertions, deletions and changes so that such sections and subsections shall read as follows: (CHAPTER 1 ADMINISTRATION) (SECTION 101 GENERAL) 101.1 Title. This Code shall be known as the Existing Building Code of the City of University City, Missouri. It is referred to herein as "this Code". y (SECTION 103 DEPARTMENT OF BUILDING SAFETY) 103.1 Creation of enforcement agency. The term "building official" or "code official" shall be construed to mean the Building Commissioner of the City of University City, Missouri or the duly authorized representative of the Building Commissioner. 2
