(SECTION 105 PERMITS) <br /> 105.1 Required. Required permits shall comply with Section 105.1 of the Building Code <br /> of University City. <br /> 105.2 Work exempt from permit. Work exempt from permits shall comply with Section <br /> 105.2 of the Building Code of University City. <br /> 105.3.90 Rejected application. Rejected applications will be held on file for 60 days <br /> after the date of rejection. If the required information or corrections are not received <br /> within this period of time, the application shall be deemed to have been abandoned. <br /> 105.90 Coordination with other jurisdictions. Where a building, structure, or <br /> premises is added to, altered or modified partially outside the city limits, the Building <br /> Official shall be authorized to enter into agreements with the adjoining Code <br /> jurisdictions to avoid duplication of permits, inspections and fees. <br /> (SECTION 108 FEES) <br /> 108.2 Schedule of permit fees. Fees shall be required in accordance with the Building, <br /> Residential, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Energy Conservation, or other applicable <br /> code. <br /> 108.4 Surcharge for work started without a permit. In case any work for which a <br /> permit is required by this Code is substantially started or proceeded without first <br /> obtaining said permit, the total normal fees applicable shall be increased by an amount <br /> equal to the permit fee; except that the surcharge amount shall not be less than $35.00 <br /> nor more than $1000.00 for each permit. <br /> (SECTION 109 INSPECTIONS) t <br /> 109.3.90 Extra inspections. In addition to the inspections normally provided, the <br /> Building Official shall require that additional inspections or reinspections be conducted <br /> due to noncompliance with Code requirements or due to work which is not ready for <br /> inspection or not accessible for inspection at the time of a scheduled inspection. <br /> for such additional inspections shall be assessed and paid prior to scheduling the next <br /> inspection. <br /> 109.4 Inspection agencies. The Building Official is authorized to accept reports of <br /> approved inspection agencies, provided such agencies satisfy the requirements as to <br /> qualification and reliability. All such reports must be received by the Department of <br /> Community Development within 72 hours of the inspection or as approved by the <br /> Building Official. All fees and costs related to the performance of special inspections <br /> services shall be the responsibility of the owner. <br /> 3 <br />
