Session 1794
October 16, 2000

BILLS FOR INTRODUCTION:

1. A bill was introduced by Mr. Munkel, entitled:

AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A FINAL SUBDIVISION PLAT OF A TRACT OF
LAND TO BE KNOWN AS TEASDALE CONDOMINIUMS AND LOCATED AT
7832-34 DELMAR (EVEN).

The bill was given its first reading and assigned bill number 8492.

2. A bill was introduced by Mr. Wagner, entitled:

AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
UNIVERSITY CITY AND LEVEL 3 COMMUNICATIONS, L.L.C., FOR THE
NONEXCLUSIVE RIGHT TO CONSTRUCT, MAINTAIN AND REMOVE ITS
TELECOMMUNICATIONS FACILITIES UNDER THE PUBLIC WAYS; AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT ON
BEHALF OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY.

Responding to Mr. Wagner, Mr. Ollendorff responded that any tower sites would have to be
approved by the City Council, but this agreement and the next two are only for underground
wiring. Towers require a separate procedure.

Responding to Mr. Munkel, Mr. Ollendorff replied that these would be for trenching of cable
or placing on existing utility poles.

Responding to Mayor Pro Tem Schoomer, Mr. Ollendorff said that he would have Deputy
City Manager Rose answer the question. Mr. Rose stated that these companies will initially
just be a pass through. They would eventually like to pick up residential and commercial
business in the future. Mr. Rose stated that the revenues provided from these companies
will be healthy.

The bill was given its first reading and assigned bill number 8493.

3. A bill was introduced by Ms. Colquitt, entitled:

AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
UNIVERSITY CITY AND AXON TELECOM, L.L.C., FOR THE NONEXCLUSIVE
RIGHT TO CONSTRUCT, MAINTAIN AND REMOVE ITS
TELECOMMUNICATIONS FACILITIES UNDER THE PUBLIC WAYS; AND

7
