Session 1798 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />November 27, 2000 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council Chambers <br />of City Hall on Monday, November 27, 2000. Mayor Joseph L. Adams called the <br />meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the following members of the <br />Council were present: <br /> Ms. Cassandra Colquitt <br /> Mr. Wayne Munkel <br /> Mr. Robert G. Wagner <br /> Mr. Larry Lieberman <br /> Mr. Paul Schoomer <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also present was Deputy City Manager Gregory Rose. ABSENT: Mr. Frank OIlendorff, <br />City Manager, was excused. <br /> <br />MINUTES: <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved approval of the November 13, 2000 Council meeting minutes. Ms. <br />Colquitt seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS: <br /> <br />AGENDA #1 - CONSENT CALENDAR (3 ITEMS): <br /> <br />#1 - Zonincl Public Hear/nee - 8654 Barbv: Mr. Rose recommends s6;tting 7:30 p.m. <br />December 18 in these Council Chambers as the time and place for a public hearing to <br />consider the Plan Commission recommendation to rezone 8654 Barby Lane from "SR" <br />to "HRO." The zoning change will permit construction of a nursing home addition. The <br />conditional use permit for this project will also be on the agenda December 18. The <br />project approved for this property last year is being replaced by this new proposal which <br />appears to be a more desirable and buildable plan. <br /> <br />#2 - Settinee Public Hear/nee to Vacate Rieeht-Of-WaV alonee Shaftesbury near Raisher: A <br />request has been received from the property owners of 7860 Drexel Drive to vacate the <br />City right-of-way along Shaftesbury Ave. near Raisher Dr. Staff's evaluation of this <br />request reveals that there is no public benefit derived from City ownership of this <br />property. Mr. Rose recommends Council set a public hearing for December 18, 2000 at <br />7:30 p.m. in these Council Chambers to hear public input on the matter. Unless <br />directed otherwise, staff will notify surrounding property owners of the hearing. <br /> <br /> <br />
