<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the Park Commission <br />City of University City <br />October 26, 2010 <br />Centennial Commons, 7210 Olive Blvd. <br /> <br />President Livingston Sykes called the meeting to order at 6:33 pm. Other members present were: <br />Karen Dille (arrived at 6:46 pm) Nancy MacCartney, Director <br />William Field Lynda Euell-Taylor, Recreation Superintendent <br />Jerry Fitch Tom McCarthy, Asst. Recreation Superintendent <br />Gwendolyn Gaines-Beckwith (arrived at 6:48 pm) <br />Karen Palmer <br />Linda Peoples <br />Caryn St. Clair <br />John Sweeney <br />Absent: Lynn Ricci, Council Liaison <br />Disposition of Minutes from September 28, 2010 <br />Minutes reviewed. Ms. Peoples moved to approve minutes with corrections, Ms. St. Clair seconded. Vote taken: <br />all approved. <br />Citizen’s comments on items not on Agenda – None <br />Council Liaison Report - None <br />Residential Identification Card Policy <br />Ms. St. Clair suggested a round table be held to obtain commission member’s preferred option regarding the <br />current policy of resident ID cards for Ruth Park Golf Course. All members agreed. <br />Mr. Sweeney – indicated based on Mr. Price’s comments at the September meeting, option #5 (provide all senior <br />60 & older with free resident ID cards) would resolve the issue for Mr. Price; has no problem with the current <br />policy. <br />Ms. St. Clair – indicated it would be nice to provide option #5; ok with the current policy. <br />Mr. Field – indicated card not needed; staff could easily verify residency <br />Ms. Palmer – indicated current policy should remain in place; raised the question if the golf pro was ok with <br />making ID’s at golf course. Ms. MacCartney replied he was. <br />Mr. Fitch – retain current policy <br /> <br />
