Date: September 30, 2002

To: Members of the Traffic Commission

From: Mariela Tapia, Secretary of the Traffic Commission and Tim Moffitt, Department
of Public Works Representative.

Re: October Traffic Commission Meeting

The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Traffic Commission is Wednesday October
09, 2002 at 6:30 p.m. in the EOC meeting room in the basement of the City Hall Annex
building. Attached is a copy of the agenda for the meeting.

1.Parking on both sides of Forsyth

Please see the attached e-mail from Frank Ollendorff to Larry Lieberman. The City
Manager considers that maybe its time to allow parking on both sides of Forsyth. This
might even encourage drivers to go another way. We sent invitations to the residents to
give their opinion about this matter.

According to the Municipal Code, for Forsyth Blvd, we stated the following:

?

Parking prohibited at all times: South side thereof from a point 126 feet east of
Bland Drive on the east to the western city limits on the west. North side
thereof from the west line of Lindell Blvd. on the east to the western city limits
on the west.
?

Parking prohibited during designated hours: on the south side thereof from Del
–Lin Dr to the east city limits, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.
and between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on every day of the week
except Saturday, Sunday and holidays.
?

One-hour parking zones: north side thereof, from the east line of Lindell Blvd
to a point 60 feet east thereof.

Please be prepared for initial discussion about this matter.

2.No Parking Signs on the north side of University Dr near Jackson Ave.

Please see the attached Traffic Request Form, dated August 13, 2002, submitted by
Jeffrey A. Thompson, president of Saddle & Bridle. He is requesting to remove the
actual “no parking until 11:00 a.m.” signs on the north side of University Dr near Jackson
Ave due to several acts of vandalism to employee cars parked on the South side of
University Dr.

According to the Municipal Code, for University Drive, we stated the following:

V:\WP51\Mariela-Projects\Traffic Commission\agenda\2002\Agenda 10-09-02.doc
