Please call <br />Sandy at 505-8563 and confirm your attendance. <br /> <br />AGENDA FOR THE MEETING <br /> <br />1. School District Request to Establish two (2) Pick Up/Drop off zones for Jackson Park <br />School. <br /> <br />Please find attached a letter dated November 1, 2007 from Erie Gonzalez-Rubio, Operations <br />Supervisor from the School District of University City. Mr. Gonzalez is requesting that: <br /> <br />1) A "No Parking - 15 minute - Pick up/ Drop Off Zone” be established on the south side of <br />Balson Avenue from the south west corner of Balson Ave and Jackson Ave for a distance of <br />approximately 150 feet to the west. The restricted times are from 7am to 4pm on School days <br />only. <br /> <br />2) A “pick up/drop off zone” be considered around the entire perimeter of the island at the <br />intersection of Balson and Jackson in front of University City High School and Jackson Park <br />School. <br /> <br />Mr. Gonzalez states that traffic concerns have existed at this location for several years <br />resulting in double-parking and considerable congestion during the arrival and dismissal of <br />students. <br /> <br />Public Works and the Police Department agree that there is considerable congestion in the <br />area during the arrival and dismissal of students.
