<br />6801 Delmar Boulevard, University City, MO 63130 <br />Phone: 314-862-6767, Fax: (314) 862-0694 <br /> <br /> <br />CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY <br />MINUTES OF THE TRAFFIC COMMISSION <br />September 14, 2005 <br /> <br />There were not enough commissioners to call the meeting to order. At 6:45 p.m. <br />commissioners present were: <br /> <br />Catherine Nichols <br />Raymond Creer <br />Tobias Gibson <br /> <br />Also present, Council Members Shelley Welsch (Traffic Commission Council Liaison) and <br />Stefany Brot. City Representatives present were Mariela Tapia (Traffic Commission <br />Secretary/Public Works) and Sgt. Shaun Whitley (Police). Residents present were Nancy <br />Sachar and Joan Botwinick. <br /> <br />Mariela Tapia explained to those present, that there was not a quorum. Therefore, the <br />Traffic Commission could not make any recommendations and the items on the agenda <br />would be discussed at the next Traffic Commission Meeting. However, those present <br />could make comments. <br /> <br />Tobias Gibson directed the meeting and the following issues were discussed: <br /> <br />1.Residential Parking Permit to be implemented in areas near future Metro Link <br /> <br />Stations <br /> <br />The future Big Bend and Forsyth Metro Link Stations and existing parking <br />restrictions for streets within ¼ mile from those stations were presented. Staff <br />th <br />informed the Traffic Commission that a meeting would be scheduled for October 4, <br />2005 to discuss restricted parking options with property owners within the affected <br />areas. The following comments were offered: <br />?Ms. Brot mentioned that information regarding location for parking available <br /> <br />should be posted in the stations. <br />?Mr. Gibson wondered about the Metro Link project completion. <br /> <br />th <br />?Ms. Brot agreed to publicize the October 4 meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />2.“No Parking Signs” for Gay, Lafon, Teasdale and Mapleview <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Gibson read the letter from Nancy A.
