<br />6801 Delmar Boulevard, University City, MO 63130 <br />Phone: 314-862-6767, Fax: (314) 862-0694 <br /> <br /> <br /> CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY <br />MINUTES OF THE TRAFFIC COMMISSION <br />May 14, 2008 <br /> <br /> <br />Morton Hyman called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m. Those members present were: <br /> <br /> <br /> Catherine Nichols <br /> <br /> Donnie Robinson <br /> <br /> Robert Wagoner <br /> <br /> Sgt King (U City Police Department), <br /> <br /> Robert Wagner (Council Liaison) and <br /> <br /> Angelica Gutierrez and Megan Lindmark (Traffic Commission Liaison-U City Public Works <br />Department). <br /> <br />Residents/property owners present were: <br /> <br /> <br /> Carol Murray – 7311 Lindell Blvd <br /> <br /> Steve Barron – President of the Philip H. Barron Realty Company – owner of 5 DelLin, 7334-40 <br />Forsyth Blvd and 7350 Lindell Blvd <br /> <br />1. Change Lindell Blvd. from a one-way to a two-way street from Forsyth Blvd. to approximately <br />120 feet north of Forsyth Blvd. <br /> <br />Mr. Hyman started the meeting and Mrs. Gutierrez explained the change to be implemented stating this <br />section of Lindell will provide the only ingress and egress to the parking lot at the intersection of Lindell <br />and Forsyth. <br />It was explained that item number 1 and 2 were separated to vote independently. <br /> <br />Mrs. Murray asked if access to the parking lot could be provided through Manhattan Ave, and Mrs. <br />Gutierrez explained that, that is precisely the existing condition and access through Manhattan is <br />increasing traffic on the residential portion of Lindell Blvd. <br /> <br />Mr. Barron asked about the Residential Parking Permit boundaries, and it is understood that this is a <br />petition that need to come from residents and it will include all property owners on Lindell Blvd if desired. <br />Also, he asked if there was any consideration given to the 120 feet to be a longer section, and Mrs. <br />Gutierrez explained that it was not considered since the entrance/exit of the parking lot is determining the <br />end of the portion that needs to be two-way; design was based for parking lot access mainly. <br /> <br />The commissioners voted unanimously for this request to change Lindell Blvd, form a one-way to a two- <br />way street from Forsyth Blvd to approximately 120 feet north of Forsyth Blvd, be implemented. <br /> <br />2. Change the one-way portion of Lindell Blvd. from Asbury to 120 feet north of Forsyth from <br />westbound to eastbound. <br /> <br />Mrs. Gutierrez explained that consideration may be given to changing the one-way portion of Lindell Blvd <br />from westbound to eastbound.
