At 6:30 p.m. those present <br />were Paulette Smith, (Traffic Commissioners), P.O. Shaun Margul <br />Greg Patterson, Hyla Bondareff <br />(U City Police Department), Arthur Sharpe Jr. (Council Liaison), Angelica Gutierrez and Mariela <br />Tapia (Public Works Department). <br /> <br />Also present were: <br /> <br /> Ethan Schuman, resident at 8258 Groby Rd. <br /> <br /> B. Mandelbaum, resident at 8250 Groby Rd. <br /> <br /> J. Marchbank, resident at 7320 Forsyth Blvd <br /> <br /> Danny Soshnik, resident at 7320 Forsyth Blvd <br /> <br /> Roger Chin, resident at 7320 Forsyth Blvd <br /> <br /> Richard Gund, representing Our Lady of Lourdes School and church <br /> <br /> William Field, resident at 7152 Kingsbury <br /> <br />Commissioner Patterson explained to those present that there was not a quorum; therefore, the <br />Traffic Commission could not take any formal action. The items on the agenda would be discussed <br />and recorded, then included in the next Traffic Commission Meeting agenda. <br /> <br /> <br />1. Request to remove parking restriction in the south side of Forsyth Blvd – from Asbury to <br />Del Lin Dr (7200 and 7300 blocks of Forsyth). <br /> <br />Mr. Roger Chiu, property owner at 7320 Forsyth Blvd # 201, spoke against the petition. He stated <br />that in this section of Forsyth Blvd there are large apartment buildings, with 10 to 15 units, therefore <br />plentiful amount of vehicles driving in and out from the garages, trying to merge onto Forsyth Blvd <br />traffic, and with vehicles parked next to their driveway, east and west bound Forsyth traffic cannot <br />be seen until residents drive up to the traffic lane. All three (3) residents present at the meeting <br />were against the removal of the parking restriction. <br /> <br />Mrs. Gutierrez explained that Public Works sent 183 letters to residents of the 7200 and 7300 <br />blocks of Forsyth to provide them an opportunity for input. Six responses from residents in the <br />7200 block of Forsyth were received, five in favor and one against of removing the restriction. <br /> <br />Mr. Gund, representing Our Lady of Lourdes School and church, is in favor or removing the <br />restrictions. Parking is highly demanded by teachers, parishioners and people attending religious <br />services. <br /> <br />Commissioner Paterson stated that all comments have been recorded and will be included in the <br />agenda for discussion in the next meeting. <br /> <br />2. Temporary Parking Restriction on Groby Road <br /> <br />Mr. Schuman was called to speak by Commissioner Paterson.
