<br /> <br />Plan Commission <br />August 28, 2013 Meeting Minutes <br />(approved 9/25/2013) <br /> <br />The Plan Commission held their regular meeting at the Heman Park Community Center located <br />at 975 Pennsylvania Avenue, University City, Missouri on Wednesday, August 28, 2013. The <br />meeting commenced at 7:00 pm. <br /> <br />Voting Members Present Voting Members Absent (excused) <br />Deidre Lewis (Chairperson) Ben Halpert <br />Linda Locke (Vice-Chairperson) <br />Ben Senturia <br />Lisa Greening <br />Cirri Moran <br />Evelyn Hollowell <br /> <br />Non-Voting Council Liaison Present <br /> <br />Mayor Shelley Welsch <br /> <br />Staff Present <br />Ray Lai, Deputy Director of Economic and Community Development <br />Zach Greatens, Planner <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br />A motion was made by Ms. Locke to approve the June 26, 2013 meeting minutes. The motion <br />was seconded by Ms. Moran and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Public Hearing: Conditional Use Permit application 13-06971 7290 Olive Boulevard and <br />1166 Midland Boulevard <br /> <br />The Chairperson announced that a public hearing was scheduled for Conditional Use Permit <br />application 13-06971 and the applicant, U-Haul International, Inc., was requesting an expansion <br />of the existing truck and equipment rental business at 7270 Olive Boulevard by incorporating <br />additional parking facilities in the GC General Commercial District. The Chairperson stated <br />that the public hearing notification requirements had been met in accordance with Article 15 of <br />r <br />reviewing Conditional Use Permits and amendments to them (Zoning Code Section 34-132.2). <br />The Chairperson stated that the Plan Commission must consider whether the use: a) Complies <br />with all applicable provisions of the University City Zoning Code; b) At the specific location <br />will contribute to and promote the community welfare or convenience; c) Will not cause <br />substantial injury to the value of neighboring property; d) Is consistent with the Comprehensive <br />Plan, neighborhood development plan (if applicable), and any other official planning and <br />development policies of the City; and e) Will provide off-street parking and loading areas in <br />accordance with the standards contained in Article 7 of the University City Zoning Code. <br /> <br />tm; <br /> E <br /> <br /> <br />
