<br />SESSION 1538 <br /> <br />MINUI'ES OF '!HE UNIVERSITY' CITY <XXJNCIL <br /> <br />March 11, 1991 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the city Council of University city held in the As- <br />sembly Room of City Hall on Monday, March 11, 1991, Mayor Janet MajenIS pre- <br />sided and called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, <br />the follCMing members of the Council were present: <br /> <br />Mr. Byron R. Price <br />Mr. RobertG.Wagner <br />Mrs. Mary V. Schuman <br />Mr. Paul E. Schoc.mer <br />Mrs. Betty L. 'Ihatpson <br /> <br />Absent: eounciJ..menIDer Joseph L. Adams, Jr., who was out of town. <br /> <br />Also present was city Manager Frank Ollerx:lorff. Washington University stu- <br />dent representative Christine Mueller was absent. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved that the minutes of February 25, 1991 be approved as submit- <br />ted. Mr. Schoorner seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />OATHS OF OFFICE <br /> <br />Ms. Nancy Kolllllar, recently app:>inted to the Arts and Letters Commission; Ms. <br />carolyn Hellmuth, reapp:>inted to the Traffic Conunission; and Mr. Bennie Bon- <br />durant, reapp:>inted to the H\1I1"al1 Relations Conunission, were given the oath of <br />office by the city Clerk. <br /> <br />Mayor Maj enIS thanked the new appointees for their willingness to serve the <br />City and assist the Council in this iInportant way. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER I S REroRI'S <br /> <br />SITE PIAN RF.VIE.W - 918 NORm MCKNIGHI' <br /> <br />The City Manager recommended approval of an awlication for an ice cream shop <br />at 918 North McKnight where hand-packed pints and quarts for home, restaurant <br />or caterer use will be sold. There is more than adequate parking, even if <br />the operator decides later to sell ice cream by the scoop in a restaurant <br />setting. The follCMing condition should be attached: <br /> <br />1. The operator shall patrol the site daily in order to remove litter from <br />the business for the shopping center property and surrourxling neighbor- <br />hood. <br /> <br />,-- <br /> <br />Mr. Price moved approval including the eotrli.tion. Mr. Schoomer seconded the <br />motion, which carried unanilrously. <br />
