SESSION 1702 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />JULY 28, 1997 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council Chamber of City Hall on Monday, July 28, <br />1997, Mayor Joseph L. Adams called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the following members of <br />the Council were present: <br /> <br />Mr. Hardy Ware <br />Mr. Wayne I. Munkel <br />Mr. Robert G. Wagner <br />Mr. Larry Ueberman <br />Mr. Paul E. Schoomer <br /> <br />Also present was City Manager Frank Ollendorff. ABSENT: Mrs. Betty Thompson was excused. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />Mr. Ueberman said that it was noted in the minutes of July 7, 1997, that he had made the motion to accept the minutes, as <br />amended for the two previous minutes from June 23, 1997 and June 30, 1997, He explained that since he was not in town <br />for either meeting, it would be inappropriate for him to be recorded as making this motion. Mr. Ueberman made the <br />motion to amend the minutes, but did not make the motion to approve them in their entirety. <br /> <br />Mr. I ieberman made the motion to amend the minutes of July 7, 1997. Mr. Ware seconded the motion, which carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved approval of the minutes from July 7, 1997, as amended. Mr. Munkel seconded the motion, which <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER ANNOUNCEMENTS: <br /> <br />Mr. Ware notified the audience, whom were members of the Roth Neighborhood Association, that the issue regarding stop <br />signs and traffc problems would be on the August 18, 1997 agenda. He explained that there was not enough time to <br />properly notify all interested parties in time for this meeting. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S RFPORTS: <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR (8 ITEMS) <br /> <br /># I - Central ,&Jr Conditioning for Central Garage Office & Locker Rooms, Sanitation, Public Works and <br />Environmental Offices: The City Manager reported that quotations have been received to provide Central Air Condition <br />for the areas listed. $7,500.00 was budgeted. <br /> <br />County Heating and Cooling, Inc. <br />Air Comfort Service, Inc. <br /> <br />$7,590.00 <br />$12,765.00 <br /> <br />The City Manager recommends awarding the contract to County Heating and Cooling, Inc. for their low bid of $7,590.00. <br /> <br /> <br />
