Iandscaping shall be installed
and maintained in accordance with a final landscape plan reviewed and ap-
proved by the Director of Planning.
Evening ~se of the premises for c].ass~~., training, meetings and similar
activities shall be restricted to a .maximum twelve (12) participants in-
cl,~ ~g staff.
With the excerption of play activities ~.~ithin the enclosed y~rd area, all
activities, incl,~g fundraising, shall be conducted indoors unless spe-
cifically al:proved by the City Ccur~:il.

Mr. A~ams moved approval with all cond/tions. Mrs. Th~,~son seconded the mo-
tion and ask~ if the operators were willing to abide by the conditions.

Rev. Doris Rico, 7241 Canterbu/7, came forward and said she and her husband
were aware of and willing to c~,~ly with all conditions.

In response to Mr. Prico, Rev. Rice said this facility will be an extension of
the operation she and her husband have k~_n running at 7091 Olive.

Mr. Alex Feldman, 1233 Backer, asked if this operation was church-sponsored,
and when told it was, said it was not I~c~red to have a state license. Mrs.
Schuman said that was correct, however, the City Council has required that it
be state-licensed. Mr. Feldman asked about other church-run day care centers
which were not state-licensed. Mr. Ollendorff said every day care facility
that has been approved in the last six years has been required by Council to
obtain a ~-tatm license, and operate under state rules.

All vot~d_ Aye.

LI~JOR I~C~SE- 1148

The City Manager said although he was ncfc making a rec~,~ndation to do so, he
had been asked to request that Council add an item to the agenda, a request
for a package beer license at 1148 Ferguson. He noted t_hat the application
has been held up for some time because the store did not meet County Health
Depaz~,~nt re¢~4~ements until today's ~b~pection. Mrs. Thompson moved that
thi~ matter be put on the agenda, and MI'. Price seconded the motion.

Mr. Wagner said he was opposed to adding this to the agenda, since he would
like more time to visit the site and f. mmilierize himself with the situation.

Mr. Price had no objection to adding th~s to the agenda; however, the store is
in a residential neighborhood and he thought Council was usually not in favor
of approving liquor sales close to resid, ences.

Mrs. Th~,~son said she thought neighborhood residents did want beer sold at
this location. Mayor Majerus said there: was a license at this location at one
time, but with a different owner.

Mr. Schocm~r asked how long the new ow~er has had the store. Mr. Ollendorff
said he did not know, but estimated it ihas been several months. Mr. Schoomer
thought he recalled there were a num~.r of neighborhood objections to beer
