Session 1813 <br />June 4, 2001 <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Mr. Lieberman, Mr. Schoomer, Mr. Sharpe, Ms. <br />Colquitt, Mr. Munkel, Mr. Wagner and Mayor Adams. NAYS: none. Bill number 8529 <br />passed and became Ordinance number 6305. <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8530 - AMENrt~ING CHAPTER 5.84 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, <br />RELATING TO TELEPHONE AND TELEGRAPH COMPANIES, BY ENACTING <br />THEREIN A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 5.84.060, <br />PENALTY FOR NONPAYMENT OF TAX;" CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE <br />AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. <br /> <br />The bill was given its second reading. <br />The bill was given its third reading. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved approval. Mr. Munkel seconded the motion. <br /> <br />Responding to Mr. Lieberman, Mr. Ollendorff responded that this applies to the <br />telephone companies that are late in paying taxes to the city. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Mr. Schoomer, Mr. Sharpe, Ms. Colquitt, Mr. <br />Munkel, Mr. Wagner, Mr. Lieberrnan and Mayor Adams. NAYS: Ms. Colquitt. Bill <br />number 8530 passed and became Ordinance number 6306. <br /> <br />6. BILL NO. 8531 - VACATING AND SURRENDERING A PORTION OF THE <br /> RIGHT-OF-WAY OF HARRISON AVENUE BETWEEN HAWTHORNE PLACE <br /> AND WAYNE AVENUE IN BELLMONT PLACE SUBDIVISION AND <br /> HAWTHORNE TERRACF SUBDIVISION, BUT RESERVING ANY PUBLIC <br /> UTILITY EASEMENTS, AND DIRECTING THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE <br /> RECORDED IN THE OFFICE OF THE RECORDER OF DEEDS OF ST. LOUIS <br /> COUNTY, MO. <br /> <br />The bill was given its second reading. <br />The bill was given its third reading. <br /> <br />Mr. Lieberman moved approval. Mr. Munkel seconded the motion. <br /> <br />Responding to Mr. Sharpe, Mr. Ollendorff said that he has received written concurrence <br />from the three property owners that they would like to obtain this property. There are <br />four properties that was subject 'to public hearing in December. Shortly after the public <br />hearing, two of those owners saiid that they wanted the property and so two parcels <br />were vacated then. Now we have heard from a third owner, therefore the bill tonight is <br />for only one property. We have still not heard from the fourth property owner. <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br /> <br />
