Session 1813 <br />June 4, 2001 <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Mr. Sharpe, Ms. Colquitt, Mr. Munkel, Mr. <br />Wagner, Mr. Lieberman, Mr. Schoomer and Mayor Adams. NAYS: none. Bill number <br />8531 passed and became Ordinance number 6307. <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8532 - AMENDIING CHAPTER 10.44 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, <br />RELATING TO PARKING RESTRICTIONS ON SPECIFIC STREETS, BY <br />REPEALING SECTION 10.44.020 THEREOF, RELATING TO PARKING <br />PROHIBITED ON CERTAIN STREETS DURING DESIGNATED HOURS, AND <br />ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO KNOWN AS "SECTION <br />10.44.020 PARKING PROHIBITED ON CERTAIN STREETS DURING <br />DESIGNATED HOURS," SO AS TO PROHIBIT PARKING DURING <br />DESIGNATED HOURS AT SPECIFIED LOCATIONS ON MARYLAND AVENUE; <br />CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. <br /> <br />The bill was given its second reading. <br />The bill was given its third reading. <br /> <br />Mr. Schoomer moved approval. Mr. Lieberman seconded the motion. <br /> <br />Responding to Mr. Lieberman, Mr. Ollendorff explained that what had happened is that <br />different property owners have changed their minds about having this restriction in front <br />of their residences. At first, we ~vent half the block and then others wanted to be added, <br />so we went up to Williams, and now the last few want to be removed from the restricted <br />areas. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Ms. Colquitt, Mr. Munkel, Mr. Wagner, Mr. <br />Lieberman, Mr. Schoomer, Mr. Sharpe and Mayor Adams. NAYS: none. Bill number <br />8532 passed and became Ordinance number 6308. <br /> <br />EMERGENCY BILL: <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff said that on bill number one, under introductions, Council has before <br />them a subsitute bill. The correct bill is the one that does have an emergency clause. <br />The change is due to the applicant, having met all of our requirements and agreeing to <br />pay all fees, wishing to proceed with construction immediately, so to start servicing their <br />customers. <br /> <br />Mr. Munkel said that Council should support this bill, so that we can possibly beat the <br />signing of SB 369. <br /> <br />13 <br /> <br /> <br />
