Session 1813 June 4, 2001 1. A bill was introduced by Mr. Wagner, entitled: AN ORDINANCE APPROVING ,AN AGREEMENT BE-FVVEEN THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY AND METROPOLITAN FIBER SYSTEMS OF ST. LOUIS, INC. FOR THE NONEXCLUSIVE RIGHT TO CONSTRUCT, MAINTAIN AND REMOVE ITS TELECOMMUNICATIONS FACIILITIES UNDER THE PUBLIC WAYS; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT OF BEHALF OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY; CONTAINING AN EMERGENCY CLAUSE. Responding to Mr. Lieberman, Mr. Ollendorff said that the terms and conditions are what are spelled out in the city ordinance and primarily requires the payment of the $10,000 fee to cover the city's administrative, legal, inspection fees and the $1.98/ft charge. The bill was given its first reading and assigned bill number 8533. The bill was given its second reading. The bill was given its third reading. Mr. Schoomer moved approval. Mr. Munkel seconded the motion. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Mr. Munkel, Mr. Wagner, Mr. Lieberman, Mr. Schoomer, Mr. Sharpe, Ms. Colquitt and Mayor Adams. NAYS: none. Bill number 8533 passed and became Ordinance number 6309. BILLS FOR INTRODUCTION: 1. A bill was introduced by Mr. Munkel, entitled: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, EXTENDING THE TERM OF FRANCHISE WITH TCI CABLE PARTNERS OF ST. LOUIS, L.P. TO DECEMBER 23, 2001. Mr. Ollendorff asked Council to note that a substitute bill was placed on Council's desks this evening. The original version with the emergency clause should be tossed. The same comment applies to number 8. The bill was given its first reading and assigned bill number 8534. 2. A bill was introduced by Ms. Colquitt, entitled: AN ORDINANCE REPEALING CHAPTER 8.28 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO THE PROPERTY' MAINTENANCE CODE, AND ENACTING A NEW CHAPTER TO BE KNOWN AS "CHAPTER 8.28 PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE", 14
