edge of Des Peres Avenue could connect Forest Park with the neighborhood center and then parallel the MetroLink corridor to pass under Delmar Boulevard and link to the Centennial Greenway <br />at Vernon Road and to the St. Vincent Greenway via the As part of the Centennial Greenway, a secondary extension will be developed along Vernon Between Ackert Walk and Skinker to link <br />with the Des Peres Connector and the St. Vincent Greenway. The eastbound extension is likely best on the south side of Vernon, but final alignment should be coordinated with the development <br />of the St. Vincent Greenway to determine the best <br />former trolley right-of-way near Hodiamont Avenue. <br />North of Delmar the Centennial Greenway will follow the existing Ackert Walk to Vernon Avenue. The tree-lined walkway will require some improvements to meet Centennial Greenway standards, <br />with the existing pedestrian lighting system extended along its entire length. The Centennial Greenway improvements should be coordinated with the potential redevelopment of adjacent <br />properties. The redevelopment may create the opportunity for improving the Ackert Des Peres Avenue offers an excellent opportunity to connect the Skinker-De Baliviere Neighborhood with <br />both the Centennial Greenway and the St. Vincent <br />Greenway to the east.
