Bill number 8557 passed and became ordinance <br />number 6332. <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8558 - AMENDING CHAPTER 9.08 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, <br />RELATING TO OFFENSES AGAINST PUBLIC PEACE AND DECENCY, BY <br />REPEALING SECTION 9.08.200 THEREOF, RELATING TO PORNOGRAPHY, <br />OBSCENITY AND EXPLICIT SEXUAL MATERIAL, AND ENACTING IN LIEU <br />THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE-' KNOWN AS SAME, AMENDING SECTION <br />SO THAT IT WILL CONFORM WITH STATE LAW; CONTAINING A SAVING <br />CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. <br /> <br />The bill was given its second reading. <br />The bill was given its third reading. <br /> <br />Mr. Lieberman noted that he requested the review of this legislation in August of 1999. <br />He knows that the City Attorney has been going over it very carefully in order to avoid <br />conflicts with the Constitution.
