Adequate funds are available in the Central Garage <br />depreciation account. <br /> <br />#2 - 40 - 11/2 Cubic Yard Dumpsters, 40- Cubic Yard Dumpsters: Bids have been <br />received for dumpsters. $21,600 was set aside for the requirement. Five companies <br />were invited to submit bids. The following responses were received: <br /> <br />Waste Systems <br />Key Equipment <br />Downing Sales <br /> <br />$21,200 <br />$24,864 <br />$18,940 <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommends awarding this purchase to Downing Sales for their Iow bid of <br />$18,940. <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe moved adoption of the consent calendar. Mr. Wagner seconded the motion, <br />which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM #2 - PUBLIC HEARING: ZONING AMENDMENT EXTENDING <br />MORATORIUM ON SEXUALLY ORIENTED BUSINESSES: <br /> <br />The public has been invited to comment at a hearing at 7:30 p.m. this date on an <br />amendment to the zoning ordinance placing a moratorium on new sexually-oriented <br />businesses until June 25, 2002, in order to allow sufficient time for review of <br />appropriate rules and regulations. A bill has been prepared for adoption following <br />this public hearing as recommended by the Plan Commission. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams opened the public hearing at 7:42 p.m. Being that there were no <br />requests to speak the public hearing was immediately closed. <br /> <br />#3 - CONSIDERATION OF REQUEST FOR SOLICITATION PERMIT- LIFE SKILLS <br />FOUNDATION: <br /> <br />I recommend approval of a request from the Life Skills Foundation to allow volunteer <br />representatives to conduct a Tag Day in University City on Friday, April 26, and <br />Saturday, April 27,2002. Solicitations will take place in front of businesses between <br />the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Advance permission must be obtained from <br />each business before the solicitation may take place. Similar activities are being <br />planned throughout St. Louis City and County. The application states that cost of <br />raising funds in the solicitation will not exceed 25% of the total amount raised. Also, a <br /> <br /> <br />
