Session 1837 <br />April 22, 2002 <br /> <br />Ms. Cassandra Colquitt, Third Ward <br /> <br />The newly sworn in Mayor and Councilmembers took their seats on the dais. <br /> <br />RE-OPENING OF COUNCIL MEETING: <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council Chambers <br />of City Hall on Monday, April 22, 2002, Mayor Joseph L. Adams called the meeting to <br />order at 7:42 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the following members of the Council were <br />present: <br /> Ms. Cassandra Colquitt <br /> Mr. Wayne Munkel <br /> Mr. Robert Wagner <br /> Mr. Larry Lieberman <br /> Ms. Shelley Welsch <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also present was City Manager Frank Ollendorff. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS: <br /> <br />Mayor Adams moved the appointment of Ted Smorodin, 7414 Liberty Ave. to the Park <br />Commission for an unexpired term ending January 21,2004. Mr. Sharpe seconded the <br />motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams moved the appointment of Ron Heise, 920 Golfcourse Dr., to the Historic <br />Preservation Commission for an unexpired term ending September 9, 2002. Mr. <br />Wagner seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />OATH OF OFFICE: <br /> <br />The City Clerk administered the oath of office to the following citizens; <br /> <br />Jane Brownstone - Arts and Letters Commission <br />Bob Winters - Arts and Letters Commission <br />Rosalyn Borg - Plan Commission <br /> <br />The Mayor thanked each of these citizens for agreeing to serve, noting that their service <br />was important to the healthy functioning of the City. <br /> <br />82"D STREET/WALTON ROAD BRIDGE UPDATE: <br /> <br />Mayor Adams reported that the Federal Government had finally approved the obligation <br />of federal funds for the Walton Street Bridge. Now the City can go out and advertise for <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
