Session 1843 <br />June 3, 2002 <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommends that this Community Development Block Grant project be <br />awarded to Castle Contracting LLC for their Iow bid of $67,490. Castle Contracting is a <br />female owned company, whose bonding company has an A.M. Best Rating of A-. <br /> <br />#4 - 2002-2003 Annual Order - Police Uniforms: Bids for furnishing police uniforms for <br />the 2002-2003 fiscal years have been received. Invitations to Bid were sent to five <br />possible sources with the following responses: <br /> <br />Law Enforcement Equipment Co. <br />Starward Co. <br /> <br />$34,479.63- 3 items no bid <br />$1,827.64- 35 no bid items <br /> <br />Leon Uniform <br /> <br />$41,854.15 <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommends accepting the Iow bid from Law Enforcement Equipment Co. <br />subject to quality and availability assurances in the amount of $34,479.63, which is <br />within budget estimates. <br /> <br />#5 - Public Hearing: Zoning Controls for Adult Business Uses: Mr. Ollendorff <br />recommends 7:30 p.m. on July 1,2002 in these Council Chambers for a public hearing <br />on the proposed amendments to the zoning ordinance to define adult businesses and <br />establish permitted locations and regulations for such businesses. The proposals are <br />unanimously recommended by the Plan Commission following detailed analysis by <br />Planning staff and consultant in response to City Council request for such study. <br /> <br />#6 - Installation of Traffic Signals at Forsyth Blvd. and Asbury Drive: The tabulation of <br />bid proposals for the project is as follows: <br /> <br />1) TGB, Inc ...................................................... $79,321.75 <br />2) Gerstner Electric, Inc ........................................... $93,166.00 <br />3) Sachs Electric Company ..................................... $116,541.00 <br /> <br />Engineer's Estimate <br /> <br />$89,0O4.80 <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommends that the award be made to TGB, Inc. for their Iow bid of <br />$79,321.75. This is subject to MoDOT's concurrence. This company is female owned <br />and has an A.M. Best rating for the surety company of A+XV. <br /> <br />Funding is from Federal Funds. <br /> <br />#7 - 82"d Boulevard Bridge Replacement: - Bids for the above named project are as <br />follows: <br /> <br /> <br />
