<br />provision of 16 spaces at 7245 Olive. With three proposed service bays and 500 square feet of product <br />display/seating area, the car audio installation facility will require 14 spaces. Therefore the proposed use <br />provides the required number of parking spaces under the Zoning Code. The facility shall be operated so <br />that noise complies with the University City Noise Ordinance (Section 9.08.240), which requires in <br />pertinent part: “The creation of any unreasonably loud, disturbing or unnecessary noise in the city is <br />prohibited” … and … “The playing of any radio, phonograph or other musical instrument in such a <br />manner or with such volume as to tend to annoy or disturb the quiet, comfort or repose of persons in any <br />dwelling, hotel or other type of residence; provided, that any such noise that can be distinctly heard at a <br />distance of more than one hundred (100) feet from its source shall be deemed excessive.” <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff recommends that the conditional use permit be approved subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br /> <br />2.The operator shall regularly police the site and the area adjacent to the restaurant to remove litter <br />and debris. <br /> <br /> <br />5.Trash containers for patron use shall be available on the premises at all times. Adequate refuse <br />disposal shall be provided by and for the business.
