NAYS: None <br /> <br />Bill number 8648 passed unanimously and became ordinance number <br />6417, <br /> <br />BILL NO 8649 -AMENDING CHAPTER 10.36 OF THE UNIVERSITY <br />CITY MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO REGULATIONS FOR <br />SPECIFIC STREETS, BY ENACTING THEREIN A NEW SECTION TO <br />BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 10.36.131 CERTAIN COMMERCIAL <br />VEHICLES PROHIBITED ON CERTAIN STREETS - EXCEPTIONS;" <br />CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. <br /> <br />The bill was given its second reading. <br />The bill was given its third reading. <br /> <br />Mr. Lieberman asked the City Manager how the City was defining the <br />trucks in this ordinance. Mr. Ollendorff replied that state definitions were <br />being adopted. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner stated that this ordinance's intent was to prohibit big 18 <br />wheelers from running down Sutter. He asked if the appropriate signage <br />details were defined yet. Mr. Ollendorff replied that this same ordinance <br />had to be adopted in Welston and Pagedale, as well. When he has <br />received word that both cities have adopted it, they will then work on <br />signage details. <br /> <br />Ms. Colquitt asked that Mr. Ollendorff keep Mr. Suttle apprized of this <br />situation. He may wish to help with the wording and placement of the <br />signage. <br /> <br /> <br />
