She suggested the City apply for a grant to "temper" the soccer
dome to accommodate year-round usage. Ms. Glickert also stated that other
municipalities should be informed of University City's search for a new Director of Parks
& Recreation.

Linda D'Agrosa, 7837 Lafon Place, requested the building of a skateboard/rollerblade
park in Heman Park. She proposed that the city look at the Columbia, Mo plan because
she feels that it would be closer to what youth wanted over the Florissant plan. She said
that Columbia spent $64,000 on it. The businesses in Columbia, Mo requested a skate
park because the children were skating in their parking lots and city streets. She
believes that this would help keep kids active and off the streets.

Mayor Adams closed the hearing at 7:45 p.m.

Councilmember Wagner stated that he wished to make a comment regarding the Park
Director search. He said that many Prop K members had approached him with their
concerns. He also thanked Ms. Glickert for coming up tonight to voice her concerns, as
well. He has gone over the policy and the advertising efforts with the City Manager and
he is satisfied with the advertising efforts to find a replacement Director for the Parks
and Recreation Department. It has been advertised statewide in the Parks and
Recreation Journal, Missouri Municipal League publication, as well the local
newspapers, East-West Gateway newsletter.
