REAPPOINTMENT: <br /> <br />Ms. Welsch re-appointed Ms. Catherine Smith, 7041 Kingsbury, to the Pension Board for <br />a term ending July 1, 2003, who has agreed to serve University City for another term, and <br />asked that any questions relating to this re-appointment be directed to her as soon as <br />possible. Mr. Wagner seconded the re-appointment and it passed unanimously. <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM # 1- CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />1).Data Conversion of 22-Planninq Department Files: A proposal for subject <br />requirement has been received. The City Clerk has requested the award be made to <br />Goldstar Software, Inc. for the manual conversion of the complete database for the <br />Planning Department for a total Not-To-Exceed $20,000.00 for this requirement. <br />Goldstar has demonstrated ability on sample files. <br /> <br />Mr. Moton advised that although the brief for the first item indicated the number of files <br />to be converted as 22, it is actually 39. He recommends awarding a contract to <br />Goldstar Software Not-To-Exceed $20,000.00. <br /> <br />2) Public Hearinq - Alley vacatin,q: <br /> <br />Mr. Moton recommended setting September 29 at 7:30 p.m. in these Council chambers <br />as the time and place for a public hearing to consider vacating an unimproved section of <br />a public alley located east of Pennsylvania and north of Olive adjacent to 1063 Roth <br />Ave. There is no public need for this. The adjacent owner requests that the alley be <br />vacated so that they can improve it for use as part of their yard. The alley to the west <br />serves as access to Pennsylvania and thus can not be vacated. The alley to the east <br />has been permanently closed off to public access and is used only by property owners <br />adjacent thereto. A public hearing is required to which all adjacent property owners will <br />be invited prior to City Council acting on this request. <br /> <br />3) Two sides Ioadinq refuse vehicle: <br /> <br />Bids were received for the purchase of subject vehicles. A trade-in allowance was <br />requested for vehicles #35 and #134.
