Mr. Munkel seconded the motion, <br />which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />OATH OF OFFICE: <br /> <br />The Mayor called on Dennis Mark Hyland. The City Clerk, Leisha Forsythe, <br />administered the oath for his appointment to the Historic Preservation <br />Commission. <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM # 1 -CONSENT CALENDAR: <br /> <br />Consent Calendar item three was requested removed in order to be discussed <br />by Mr. Lieberman. <br /> <br />1 - Public Hearing Date for 1513 North and South Road Rezoning- <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommended setting 7:30 p.m. on May 5, 2003 in the Council <br />Chambers as the time and place for the public hearing on the rezoning <br />recommended by the Plan Commission for 1513 North & South Road from "LC" <br />to "SR". He noted that rezoning the vacant property would enable it to be used <br />for construction of three new homes. The public hearing will be advertised by <br />publishing a notice as required by law, by mail to properties in the <br />neighborhood, and through news releases to potential sources of public <br />information. <br /> <br />2 - Public Hearing for Zone Text Amendment for Certain Setbacks - <br /> <br />The City Manager recommended setting May 5, 2003 at 7:30 p.m. in the <br />Council Chambers for a public hearing to consider a zoning text amendment <br />recommended by the Plan Commission. He advised Council that the <br />amendment will allow substantial rebuilding of high rise, elevatored buildings in <br />the HR zone that were constructed with less than the required set back. This <br />change would clear a legal impediment to the redevelopment of Parkview <br />Towers at 701 Westgate. <br /> <br />Mr. Munkel offered the motion to approve the Consent Calendar. Mr. Sharpe <br />seconded the motion which was carried. <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM # 2 - Development Subsidy Policy- <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommended updating the City's development subsidy policies <br />to include: <br /> <br />· An exception to substitute Tax Increment Financing for property tax <br /> abatement. <br /> <br /> <br />
